PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (May 5, 2026) – During her internship at Childs Legacy Law Firm as a Legal Intern, Camdyn gained valuable hands-on experience supporting HBCU initiatives and programs, with a particular emphasis on foster care support programs at HBCUs outside of Texas. In this role, she conducted extensive legal and policy research, drafted policy recommendations, and assisted with program development efforts focused on expanding educational opportunities and strengthening support systems for students from underserved and foster care backgrounds.

One of the most impactful aspects of her internship was collaborating on projects that identified critical gaps in existing foster care resources and student support services within higher education institutions. Through detailed research, data analysis, and strategic planning, Camdyn contributed to the development of actionable recommendations designed to improve student access, retention, academic success, and long-term outcomes.
