PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas (July 7, 2026) – I started working with Career Services at the beginning of my sophomore year after completing my first internship. Although I had gained valuable experience, I honestly didn’t know where to start or how to position myself for my next opportunity.
Since connecting with Career Services, I have received an incredible amount of support from the entire staff. They provide workshops, presentations, handouts, and career resources that helped me better understand what employers are looking for in high-achieving candidates. Through these resources, I learned how to present myself professionally and develop the skills employers value most.

The results have exceeded my expectations. Since working with Career Services, I have received more than five internship offers from a single career fair, become much more confident when networking with recruiters and industry professionals, and learned that the “small” details—such as professionalism, communication, and preparation—can make a significant difference in standing out to employers.
