· We believe in teaching interns to build their own practices, not support someone else’s.
The Position: The College Financial Advisor role starts as a College Financial Representative role–the advisor title is earned after gaining investment licensing.
· We offer a flexible and hybrid work schedule. There are 3 starting semesters for our internship program: Spring, Summer, and Fall. This is an ongoing internship and ends in a full-time offer upon graduation.
· We sponsor our interns and pay for their Life & Health licensing to become Financial Representatives and their investment licensing (SIE, Series 6, Series 63) to become College Financial Advisors.
Requirements:
· We are looking for local Central Illinois students only (we do not hire students who are only going to college in Central Illinois but live in another area) who want to start building their knowledge and financial advising practice.
Responsibilities:
· Our team teaches our interns everything they need to know about building a financial practice, financial planning, and the services we offer. We support our interns in studying for their licensing exams, and pair them with veteran advisors so that they can shadow and learn directly from the best.
The Location:
The McClure Financial Group has offices throughout central Illinois. Our offices are in downtown Peoria, Bloomington, and Champaign, Illinois. However, our internship offers hybrid options that allow students flexibility in time and location.
