Mrs. Cassandra Corley is the Interim Director of the Department for Careers and Professional Development at Prairie View A&M University. She is passionate about professional development for students and leads a dedicated team of employees committed to student success. Mrs. Corley believes that excellence lives within the students, faculty, and staff of Prairie View A&M University, and she works tirelessly to cultivate an environment where everyone can grow, achieve, and reach their full potential.

Herbert Thomas is the Assistant Director with the Department for Careers and Professional Development at Prairie View A&M University, bringing over 25 years of experience in career coaching and career services. A proud PVAMU alum, Herbert has dedicated decades to guiding students in exploring career pathways, developing professional skills, and successfully transitioning from the classroom to the workforce. Known for a passion for student success and mentorship, he combines deep expertise in career development with a personal enthusiasm for engaging, competitive learning, including a long-standing love of Quiz Bowl. Through strategic guidance, coaching, and personalized support, Herbert empowers students to discover their strengths, articulate their value, and confidently pursue meaningful career opportunities.

Michelle Jones leads employer engagement and experiential learning at Prairie View A&M University, where she expands internship pathways, strengthens industry partnerships, and elevates career readiness across campus. She oversees IGNITE, Panthers on the Hill, major career fairs, and high-impact student development initiatives. Known as “Coach Jones,” she is celebrated for her culturally responsive coaching, motivational leadership, and unwavering commitment to student success. Michelle collaborates with faculty, employers, and campus partners to ensure students gain meaningful experience and enter the workforce with confidence. Her mission: Be seen. Be supported. Be hired. Dr. Danielle Feggins is a Career Coach supporting psychology, sociology, and political science students. A proud PVAMU alumna, she earned a B.S. in Psychology and an M.A. in Counseling, later completing a Doctorate in Business Management with a specialization in Organizational Leadership from University of Phoenix. With over 20 years of experience in human resources, managed healthcare, workforce development, vocational rehabilitation, business management, and behavioral health, Dr. Feggins brings an extensive wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Beyond PVAMU, she is an entrepreneur, author, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., initiated at PVAMU.

Dr. Sophia Powell is a Career Coach, career development expert, and author dedicated to helping students bridge the gap between academic preparation and real-world workforce expectations. She empowers students to translate classroom experiences into market-ready skills, develop strategic career pathways, and confidently navigate professional opportunities. With extensive experience working with both local and international students, Dr. Powell is recognized globally for her contributions to career development and professional services. Her professional background spans secondary education and university career services, where she has guided students in aligning their academic experiences with professional and global career opportunities. As a career practitioner, she works closely with undergraduate and graduate students to identify skill gaps, interpret employer expectations, and design credible career strategies, equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence needed to launch, sustain, and grow in meaningful professional careers while fostering lifelong professional development.

Dr. Patrick Thomas is a dedicated educator and career strategist committed to helping students bridge the gap between education and industry. As a Career Coach at Prairie View A&M University, he works closely with engineering and STEM students, developing workshops, events, and programs that equip them with the skills, knowledge, and professional connections needed to succeed in their chosen careers. Through personalized guidance and practical resources, Dr. Thomas empowers students to navigate academic and professional pathways, translate their classroom experiences into market-ready competencies, and confidently pursue meaningful, sustainable career opportunities.

Ms. Lott is a Career Coach for the College of Juvenile Justice and General Studies at Prairie View A&M University, PV Cares Team, where she empowers students to build meaningful and successful futures. She brings over 14 years of experience as a Probation and Parole Officer, along with a strong background as a motivational speaker, author, and entrepreneur. She also participated in the pilot and launch of the Divert DWI Pre-trial Diversion program in Harris County, Texas. Passionate about helping individuals unlock their potential, Ms. Lott is dedicated to guiding students toward personal growth, career readiness, and lasting success.

Ms. Cindy Luc serves as a Career Coach I in the Department of Careers and Professional Development at Prairie View A&M University, where she partners with students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math to support their academic, career, and professional development. In her role, she helps students explore career pathways, strengthen professional skills, prepare for internships and employment opportunities, and navigate the transition from higher education to the workforce.

Ms. Luc holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Florida A&M University and a Master of Arts in Counselor Education (School Counseling) from the University of Houston. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Human Resource Development at the University of Houston, with a focus on developing expertise in talent development, organizational growth, and employee success. She has also been accepted into the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program in Learning and Organizational Change at Baylor University, where she will continue exploring leadership, organizational development, and change initiatives.

With a strong background in student development, counseling, recruitment, and professional growth, Ms. Luc provides individualized coaching, mentorship, and resources to help students identify their strengths, set meaningful goals, and confidently pursue their career aspirations. Her passion for empowering students and creating opportunities allows her to support the development of future professionals while fostering a foundation for lifelong learning and success.

Supporting students across the humanities, arts, and social sciences—including African American Studies, Communications, English, History, Music, Social Work, and Teacher Education—Courtni Booker serves as a Career Coach in the Department for Careers and Professional Development, bringing a strong background in communication, marketing, and student engagement, along with experience developing career resources, fostering student confidence, and guiding career exploration; she is deeply passionate about helping students recognize their potential and believes that education is a powerful pathway to personal success, and through her work, she is committed to empowering students to build confidence, navigate their career journeys with intention, and achieve their individual goals with purpose and clarity.

Evans Cooper, Career Coach with the Department for Careers and Professional Development at Prairie View A&M University, brings twenty years of experience in corporate America, holding roles such as investment banking analyst, financial analyst, corporate strategist, marketing manager, and human resources recruiting manager. During his corporate career, he spent five years specializing in human resources and recruiting, gaining extensive experience in talent acquisition and organizational strategy. He has worked with leading companies, including Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and JPMorgan, and now leverages his corporate expertise to guide students in navigating career pathways, developing professional skills, and preparing for success in competitive industries.

Rudy Comeaux, Career Coach with the Department for Careers and Professional Development at Prairie View A&M University, is a results-driven professional with over 10 years of experience supporting student and workforce development across higher education and corporate settings. He specializes in career advising, résumé and interview preparation, employer engagement, and delivering impactful workshops. Skilled in learning technologies and collaborative platforms, Rudy is passionate about mentoring diverse populations and helping students build the skills, confidence, and strategies they need to advance their career readiness and successfully navigate professional opportunities.
