Position: Roof Consultant / Project Manager
Role: Day-to-Day Project Lead
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary day-to-day project contact.
- Coordinate assignments with the County Project Manager.
- Plan and manage on-call roof consulting assignments from initial evaluation through closeout.
- Coordinate field investigations, site visits, inspections, documentation, and deliverables.
- Develop project schedules and coordinate team resources.
- Manage Phase I roof evaluations and Preliminary Information Reports.
- Coordinate preparation of Phase II specifications and construction documents.
- Support pre-bid meetings, contractor site inspections, bidder questions, and addenda.
- Monitor construction activities and coordinate QA activities during Phase IV.
- Review contractor payment applications, schedules, material submittals, and information requests.
- Track project issues, decisions, changes, and action items.
- Maintain communication with County representatives and provide timely project updates.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent professional experience in construction management, architecture, engineering, roofing, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing commercial/institutional roofing projects.
- Strong understanding of roofing construction, specifications, inspections, and construction administration.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
